The Jefferson Inn of Ellicottville

  • Inn Details

Located on a quiet street in the center of Ellicottville, our charming 1800’s Victorian Inn is a perfect refuge for memorable moments. Enjoy a romantic walk around the picturesque town or cozy up in front of the gas burning fireplace. You are within easy walking distance of restaurants, boutiques, and spas. We are only minutes away from Holiday Valley and HoliMont Ski Resorts. Built around 1835, the Inn has maintained its timeless features, now coupled with modern amenities. The house has been beautifully restored and furnished with antiques and reproductions. Relax in the elegant living room around the inviting fireplace, watch a movie in the TV room or rock in a chair on our wrap around porch and watch the town go by! For those needing relief from a day of strenuous activity, a hot tub is available on the back porch year round to soak away your aches. Choose to stay inside the Inn in a B&B room or in one of our efficiency suites. The B&B rooms, located on the second floor, include four tastefully decorated bedrooms and one luxury suite inviting you to experience both comfort and convenience during your stay. Each room is a combination of period antiques and incredibly comfortable beds and mattresses. Efficiency units are located at the side of the Inn overlooking the garden. These units are perfect for guests requiring additional privacy or for those traveling with young children or pets. Both have private baths with showers, sitting areas, kitchenettes, televisions, and telephones. You can enter these units privately from the Inn's covered porch. All rooms have a private full bath. A full gourmet breakfast is served for those staying inside the Inn. Just an hour south of Buffalo at the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and only minutes from Allegany State Park, the Jefferson Inn is also close to the Nannen Arboretum, Seneca Allegany Casino, Amish country, Griffis Sculpture Park, Chautauqua Institution, and a host of antique shops and museums.

I was on business and stayed 1 night. She was soooo accomodating - I loved it! I had to be at my meeting very early and she was up right with me making sure I had a nice hot breakfast to start the day. Hope we win the business so I can stay again. Great town can't wait to try out the sky slopes and / or golf courses next time.

The Jefferson Inn was our first B&B experience. And what an enjoyable experience it was. The innkeeper, Jean, served my wife and I awesome homecooked breakfasts which we ate while having stimulating conversations with her and other guests at the breakfast table. The inn itself is clean, well furnished with antique furniture throughout and is a short walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of downtown Ellicottville. Our hostess encouraged us to explore the town and local attractions and made it clear that we could come and go as we please. We found the atmosphere at the inn very relaxing and wished we could have stayed longer. We'll be back.

This in is just perfect. The location is just steps away from the action in downtown Ellicottville, which is filled with charming shops, taverns, and restaurants. We were greated with smiles, the room was beautifully appointed, and the bath was immaculate. I mentioned that I had a gluten allergy, so she made me creme brulee french toast with GF bread, and there were GF muffins, and everything was so delicious. I highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking for fun in the Ellicottville area.

This was my first visit to a bed and breakfast. From the time of arrival to departure the staff was wonderful. The inn was inviting, clean and a special place. The food was wonderful and always a little treat and a cold or hot drink available. Location to the town was fantastic. A very pleasent memory.
