General Information

Rugby Gardens is a beautiful and eclectic Victorian home in Brooklyn's Historic Flatbush. Just around the corner from the subway, you can find yourself in Manhattan in around 30 minutes! Once there, take advantage of everything New York is famous for - food, theater, museums, music, great shopping - the list goes on and on.

Rugby Gardens sits on a beautiful Sycamore lined street. You can relax on our front porch swing, or our back yard which has the feeling of a naturalized water garden.

Our third floor accomodations are comfortable and newly decorated. We offer air conditioning as well as fans, cable TV, 100% cotton high thread count linens, and wireless high speed internet should you bring your laptop.

There is a lovely breakfast area on the main floor for our guests, and we offer a continental breakfast.

• Deposit amount required (We require a deposit for half the stay. We accept all major credit cards,cash,traveler's checks,checks,money orders or bank checks in US Dollars. The balance is due upon arrival.Please note that there is a late arrival fee of $35 for arrivals after 9 pm.)
• Check in time is 3PM and Check out time is 11AM
• Cancellations:
  We have a 14 day cancellation period. Reservations cancelled less than 15 days prior to arrival will be charged for one night's stay. Reservations canceled less than 8 days prior to arrival will be charged for the entire reserved stay. A $25 processing fee is charged for all cancellations. There are no refunds for shortened stays.

Make a left on Beverly Road. Continue for 4 traffic lights. Turn right on Rugby Road. Go to the second speed bump and Rugby Gardens is on your left. From New Jersey via I-80: Take I-80 East. Follow signs to George Washington Bridge. Once you are on the bridge, stay in the extreme right lane. Exit at the Henry Hudson Parkway ( H Hudson Parkway) ramp. As you follow the exit ramp, be sure to watch for signs for H H Parkway DOWNTOWN. Do not make the mistake of going on the H H Parkway uptown. The Henry Hudson Parkway will take you along the length of Manhattan along the Hudson River. The highway will continue for several miles and take you to the southern tip of Manhattan. Exit at the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel (Exit 2). At this point, follow directions above From Manhattan

Exit left at the Prospect Expressway. Prospect Expressway becomes Ocean Parkway.Prospect Expressway becomes Ocean Parkway. Make a left on Beverly Road. Continue for 4 traffic lights. Turn right on Rugby Road. Go to the second speed bump and Rugby Gardens is on your left.

  Sue is an artist and designer. Through her interest and study of Feng Shui, and her love of color, Sue has designed and executed an interesting and eclectic atmosphere. The house is peppered with original artwork from Sue and her son, as well as other artists. Michael is an enthustiastic bike rider, swimmer, and roller blader in the summer, and ice skates at Prospect Park all winter long!
