Spacious and comfortable accommodations in a historic, Italianate mansion within walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and The Mississippi River. Located on the side of forested and quiet Mt. Hosmer, your stay will be comfortable and relaxing. We offer a help-yourself full breakfast in the dining room, private bathrooms for all rooms, extended cable and wireless internet to stay in touch (if you want!). Our close proximity to The River (Mississippi Wildlife Refuge) is fantastic for fishing, sightseeing and boating.

Our location in NE Iowa is very scenic with panoramic blufftop vistas and winding roads along the Mississippi River Wildlife Refuge. Thornton House is on the side of Mt.
