General InformationMaison Louisiane is perfectly situated in the heart of the Historic District in beautiful downtown Natchitoches, Louisiana. The home was built in 1898 by Swiss immigrants John and Marie Rusca. Noted for it's many outstanding architectural elements Maison Louisiane has been described as "one of the best examples of the Queen Anne styles in Natchitoches" (Natchez Historic Foundation). Maison Louisiane is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has undergone a painstaking restoration. The interior is breathtaking showcasing sixteen foot ceilings on the main level and fourteen foot ceilings on the second level. Original elements include massive cypress pocket doors, pine floors, and ornate exterior woodwork. The guest bedrooms all feature private baths, most with whirlpool tubs, plush robes, color TV and coffee and hot tea stations. A full breakfast is served each morning in the formal dining room. Or if you prefer we will gladly arrange to serve you breakfast in bed.

The Garden Suite is ideal for families or extended stays. Situated in the rear garden it features over 750 square feet of living space. Hardwood floors, whirlpool tub, kitchenette complete with range, fridge, microwave and coffee maker, living room with color TV, DVD and iPod station are some of the features. Two separate bedrooms one with Queen-size sleigh bed and one with two twin beds.
