Thanks so much to our hosts Dave and Jim for making our weekend getaway with our pup fun and relaxing. We stayed in the pet-friendly room, Picasso - it was great! It had a nicely tiled bathroom, flat screen tv, plenty of space for the three of us and an entrance to the outside so we could bring our 80lb lab into the room without bothering any other guests. They even supplied us with food/water bowls and towels to dry off the dog after playing in the water. There was a nice filling breakfast served in the morning which we enjoyed on the brick patio. The innkeepers made us feel very comfortable in their home and gave us tips for getting around town. We loved it! We'll definitely be back!

    Great hosts, lovely property.

We spent a night at Christopher's in early June 2011. Jim was very personable, helpful and a gracious host who offered us helpful information on where to eat, what to see/not miss, and etc. during our stay. It was very cool on the day we were to leave and we had a few hours to kill before the ferry docked. Jim was kind enough to let us camp out in the living room while we waited and avoided the wind. The home is lovely, the rooms well appointed and the continental breakfast was excellent and varied. The backyard was great (although we didn't spend any time there) but I'm sure that had we been staying longer and not been the only guests during our stay, that we would have made good use of it. We highly recommend Christopher's. It's literally just yards away from Commercial St, the docks, bike rentals, restaurants and shops, yet quiet and comfortable although you're smack dab in the centre of the action. Prices were reasonable and considerably less than much of the competition (some of whom charge upwards of $600/night at the height of the season). Recommended? absolutely! Tell Jim and Dave that we sent you. David/Dennis Waterloo, Ontario Canada

There are so many things to love about Christopher's! As one who has made Provincetown a destination stop for the last 30 years, I have had many occasions to visit scores of local hotels and B&Bs, but until I landed at Christopher's by the Bay I didn't know what a sweet, comforting and romantic stay Provincetown had to offer. Centrally located and yet tucked away, Christopher's is a blissful retreat from the hustle and bustle of street life just a block away. Classical music plays you as you sit in the cozy front parlor, curled up with your book, enjoying a delicious breakfast. All the rooms are immaculate and the beds perfect - I have had some of the most sound sleeps of my life at this place! Even the smaller rooms - Van Gogh or Manet - are well-appointed and cheerful. But, perhaps the biggest draw is the owners: Dave and Jim!! As proprietors go, these guys are top shelf - kind, helpful and very much invested in your having the best possible stay in Provincetown. Sure, there are many hotels or B&Bs with hot tubs and roof decks and a party-party atmosphere, and that's perfectly fine when the occasion calls... But, if you want a calm, peaceful fine-artsy-feeling retreat from all the fabulosity town has to offer, Christopher's by the Bay IS IT! - Jody O'Neil, Brooklyn, New York

I've stayed here twice now, both in the summer and winter months. Each time was an excellent experience. First time was a romantic getaway, we had plenty of privacy yet Jim and Dave were available to help us out with all the questions and requests we had for them. Second time was with the folks, brother his girlfriend and my partner....everybody felt welcome and had a blast. The place is located right off the main drag, maybe 100 yards, which is great to be close to all the attractions but far enough away from the noise or the late night crowds. Rooms were great, perfect size and nicely appointed....a perfect base for all of our adventures in Ptown. Service was excellent also, Jim and Dave were attentive and quick to help should any issue arrive, it felt more like we were staying at a friends house than a B & B. The breakfast was your typical B & B fare, better than anything I had at a European B & B but still light. If your looking for a triple stack of chocolate pancakes you might have to look for an IHOP. Like I said in the title, just a pleasure to stay there....it will be the only place I stay when I go to Ptown.

    Fabulous!

During my first visit to the Cape, I stayed at Christopher's. What a wonderful experience! The location is perfect - close to art galleries, the ocean, and excellent restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. The innkeepers are wonderful and hospitable! Breakfasts were delicious and included amazing homemade breads, muffins, and fresh fruit. I would definitely stay at Christopher's again, and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Cape!
