CanyonsThe Utah Indians took refuge in the canyons throughout Utah. The terrain in the area was a challenge for all who explored or inhabited it. Monte CristoThe beauty of the area of Monte Cristo cannot be denied. The early settlers to Utah saw the beauty of the natural forest, the agile elk, the never-ending mountains and the blue skies. The full circle of the seasons is encompassed here…The spring trees in bloom, in summer the green foliage flows, fall colors deep and vibrant and the winter snow covered and peaceful. BackcountryGo back in time to the early trappers, traders and explorers. Finding food from the resources that surround you, keeping warm with the skins of animals and becoming familiar with the land was a daily regimen for the early settlers. The Mountain Men that preceded the settlers have commonly been referred to as authentic American heroes. This room depicts the many aspects of these men.

Wasatch WinterHigh and cascading, the Wasatch Mountains are on the western range of the Rocky Mountains. The elevation ranges from 9000-10000 feet. The early settlers used the mountains for sources of timber, water and granite. Trappers, traders, explorers and prospectors combed the terrain valiantly. In present day, the Wasatch Front is a Mecca of year around recreation. The state has coined the phrase “the greatest snow on earth” for winter sports enthusiasts. Throughout the room the décor reminds you of that famous phrase.

PineviewInviting and nestled in the mountain, Pineview reservoir is there. In Utah it has been said of the water issue it is one extreme or the other. A man made reservoir & dam was one alternative to settle the conflict of water for people along the Wasatch Front. What most people see as just a place for recreation, the Ogden River Project took several years to complete. Fishing, boating, sailing and swimming are constant during the summers at Pineview. This room depicts just that!

Lake BonnevilleThe aroma of salt is not what one expects away from a coast but in Utah it is here! The Great Salt Lake is a small remnant of Lake Bonneville. Lake Bonneville encompassed 1/3 of the state of Utah and parts of neighboring states. The Great Salt Lake is the largest saltwater lake in the western hemisphere. Lake Bonneville was home to different types of water life and it is thought that Bear Lake that borders Utah and Idaho is home to the different species of fish descended from the earlier species of the lake. The décor in the room welcomes you to the past and present.

Sundance SuiteThe Sundance Film Festival has been around longer than most people think but it was Robert Redford who wanted to create arts and recreation for people who appreciate it. He saw this in Park City and the festival continued to grow. He said, “To us Sundance will always be a dream. What you see, smell, taste and feel here is a dream being carefully nurtured. It is an area whose pledge is to people. What we offer in the form of art and culture, spirit and service, is homegrown and available to all.” This quote is also our sentiment about the Snowberry Inn.
