Selected as one of the top 100 Bed and Breakfast's in Texas by "Texas Bed and Breakfasts Guide and Cookbook".

Sunset Inn is the lodging facility associated with artist Jane Gay's Sunset Studio, both of which are a part of her personal residence. Constructed in 2002-2003, Sunset Inn was designed to take advantage of the magnificent views from the site which is one of the highest elevations on the "Divide". The Residence has been decorated with antiques, collectables, family memorabilia and Jane's personal art.

Sunset Inn hosts only two couples at a time. The private accommodations include two bedrooms, each with queen size bed, satellite TV, a private bathroom with an oversized corner soaker tub and separate shower; plus, full use of the Great Room (big Screen TV and books), Dining Rooms, screened porch and front veranda. Sunset Inn is not your typical 'Bed and Breakfast'. In addition to a full country breakfast and 'Retreat Time' (at dusk), with advanced reservations, lunch and dinner are available daily. Complimentary alcoholic beverages are available to our guests at 'Retreat Time' and dinner. 'Retreat Time' is a time to sit on the porches, relax, enjoy the hors D'oeuvres and drinks, while watching the sun retreat and enjoying the Texas Hill Country and the wildlife which lives there. You can even hand feed our Texas Longhorn and pet and hand feed our miniature donkeys! Meals at Sunset Inn are considered to be an 'event'. Our goal is the presentation of food which healthy and enjoyable. The food trends toward the southwestern style cooking. Meal times, especially breakfast and dinner, are designed to be a throw back to the 'good old times', where friends dined and conversed on life in general, the arts, the day's events and the future of the universe. Sunset Inn is designed to be: 'A Place Where You Can Kick Back, Totally Relax and Commune With The Higher Spirit'.
