General Information

Enjoy accommodations as comfortable, as spacious, as relaxing and as welcoming as can be. We welcome Seniors, AARP, pet lovers, handicapped, everyone. Make our vacation home your Home Base to see the entire Triangle, the coast and mtns: we're 12 miles S. of Raleigh. The house sits at the front of our 87 acre farm. The trails are, at times, rugged; you will need boots/long pants, especially if it's rained. Short paths to the farm are great for walking dogs. You may see deer, bunnies and geese come into the yard. Birdwatch, wander, meditate, yet be within walking distance of cafes and shops. You'll find world-class theater, music, and museums mins. away. We are about 15 mins to Apex/Cary, and many huge, new shopping centers, and lots of antiques. We're 5 mins to Holly Springs/the new Bass Lake Recreation and Boating facility (pet friendly). The NC Zoo is about 1 hour, and the beach in just over 2 hours. We are conveniently located 20 mins off I-40, down NC 42 (Fuquay-Varina/Clayton exit). We now book the whole house as a vacation rental home, two-night minimum. If you see no availability on some site, please call. Those sites often show no availability when there is, in fact, availabilty. The downstairs is handicapped-friendly, including the bath. 3 rooms have an oversized, deluxe Queen mattress for perfect sleep. We offer a pantry stocked with staples, coffees, teas, goodies including our fresh honey.

(Owners reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or person. We cannot accept aggressive pets of any kind. Please do not book a reservation, if you know your pet is aggressive or bites, snarls or snaps.)

    Please ask us about our beach cottage at Emerald Isle, NC, which is adjacent to the ocean, convenient to Morehead City, Beaufort, and Swansboro, NC. Closest Beach to Camp Lejeune. 5 bedrooms, two decks, two full baths, cable, phone, etc. Beach is at the bottom of the hill, maybe 2-3 min walk.
