Baked peach French Toast
Total preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8Ingredients:
- French Bread, 1 loaf
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 Peaches
- 1/4 cup cinnamon & sugar mixture
- 9 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups half & half
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup maple surup
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 maraschino cherries
Steps:
- -Grease well a 9x13 inch baking pan.
-Slice bread into 11/2 inch thick slices.
-Spread bread with cream cheese; place bread into dish nice & snug with cream cheese face up.
-Place peach slices over top of bread.(can use fresh, frozen or canned)
-Top with cherry so that each slice has one. (optional)
- -Combine well: eggs, half & half, milk, syrup, cinnamon mixture & vanilla; pour over bread slices
-Dot with butter
- -Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven on a cookie sheet (collects drips) for 35-40 minutes or until French Toast is set in the middle.
May make day before; cover & refrigerate overnight then bake in the morning.
