Located on Main Street in Sugarcreek - Ohio's Little Switzerland - THE CORNERSTONE serves as your gateway to all the attractions of Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties. Just 8 miles from Exit 83 of Interstate 77; you can easily slip into a quieter and more relaxing pace at THE CORNERSTONE. Our porch swing beckons!
Built in 1910, this comfortable historic home has a contemporary flair. The two B&B rooms each have their own private entrance, bath and TV. The "Front Parlor" room has a queen bed and overlooks Main Street. The "Swiss Room" has a queen bed, a futon sofa which can sleep two, and is located in a quieter section of the home. You can watch the Amish buggies trot past as a full bountiful breakfast is served in the dining room or on the wrap-around porch. Guests have access to the entire first floor. Beverages and snacks are always available, as well as a guest refrigerator.
The downtown shops and restaurants of Sugarcreek Village are within two blocks. The Amish communities of Charm, Walnut Creek, and Berlin are within ten miles. In addition to the abundant antique and craft shops, the area boasts many recreational opportunities. Bike, canoe, or golf in our pastoral beauty. Rentals are available in the area. Families are welcome. Innkeepers Brenda & Terry Franey are avid bicyclists and kayakers and would be happy to design an outing for you!

    From Interstate 77, take Exit 83 and go west on highway 39 for 8 miles. As you enter the village of Sugarcreek, turn left at the light and go 3 blocks (approximately) to Main Street. Turn right on Main Street. THE CORNERSTONE is on the left hand side. It is the large green house located on the corner of Main and Third Street. Please turn left onto Third Sreet and park in the driveway. Due to zoning restrictions, we are allowed only one small sign on the front porch but look for the pineapple garden decorations!

    Brenda & Terry are bicyclists, runners, and kayakers. We also enjoy hiking and most any outside pursuits. There are many opportunities in the area for cycling and kayaking and even some "Pedal/Paddle" options. We'd be happy to help recommend outdoor activities. There are rental options in the area and we have some equipment available to our guests.
