Baked Pears

Ingredients:

• 1 Anjou pear
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 2 tablespoons heavy cream
• butter

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Peel each pear, cut in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Generously butter a baking dish just large enough to hold the number of pears you are making. Sprinkle dish with half the sugar. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the pears.
2. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and pour cream over pears and return to oven for 15 minutes or until just done. Serve pears hot from oven. Garnish with cherry, raspberry or blackberry. Use as many pears as needed for your guests, just increase the ingredients accordingly.
