Football Stew
Total preparation time: 5 hrs.
Serves: 6Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. lean beef stewing meat
- 1 large thinly sliced onion
- 1 lb. carrots, cut in 1.2 inch chunks
- several stalks of celery, cut in chunks
- 4 quartered potatoes
Steps:
- Place meat in bottom of roasting pan. Cover with vegetables.
- Sprinkle with 1 tsp. salt, 2 Tbl. sugar, 2 tsp. tapioca granules. Pour at least 2 cups of tomato or vegetable juice over all.
- Bake at 250 degrees for 5 hours. Do not peek!
