General InformationThe Alden House is an inviting, comfortable inn in the coastal Maine town of Belfast, at the tip of Penobscot Bay. Built in 1840 by Hiram Alden,a banker and shipping merchant. The inn features classic architecture, expansive gardens, restful accommodations and delicious breakfasts. The inn offers easy access to all points of interest along Penobscot Bay, Acadia National Park, and Maine's Mid Coast region, not to mention the city of Belfast with it's quaint shops, galleries, restaurants and harbor. An undiscovered gem. We are committed to offering each guest a memorable stay, whether for a single night or entire week, business or pleasure.
