Mary Jack's Sausage Rolls
Total preparation time: 30 minutes
Serves: 12Ingredients:
- 1 batch Bisquick biscuit dough
- 1 lb Sausage - your favorite brand
Steps:
- This is one of my favorite recipes my Mom used to make. Every Christmas morning we could count on the sausage rolls to hold us over until Christmas dinner was done.
Follow recipe on box of Bisquick and make 1 batch of biscuit dough. Divide dough in half and roll out as thin as possible.
- Using 1/2 pound of uncooked, crumbled sausage, spread it on top of biscuit dough.
- Roll dough in to a 'log'. Wrap 'log' with wax paper then foil and freeze (Slices easier when frozen).
- When ready to cook, thaw 'log' for about 15 - 20 minutes and cut approximately 1/4 inch thick slices.
- Bake at 350 degrees until dough is browned. (About 25 minutes)
