Close to Radford University and Virginia Tech, this fine home has all the charm of "Gone with the Wind" combined with the modern comforts of today. Rockwood Manor welcomes you to a style of living that was born in the gracious south where visitors become a part of the family and are treated as long lost friends.

Porches reign and rockers are supreme as refreshments are served. Luxuries abound with every amenity designed to please. You will find claw foot tubs and whirlpool baths, fireplaces and fine linens, superb mattresses and furnishings, all leading to a restful night. The fragrances of a gourmet breakfast awaken your senses in the morning. A perfect home in which to rekindle old flames, celebrate new ones and renew family ties. Policies

  • Minimum stay required (Two night minimum stay on holiday and event weekends.)
  • Smoking is allowed in limited areas (No candles or open flames either, please.)
  • We cannot accommodate guest pets
  • Limitations on children staying (Well-behaved)
  • No childcare is provided
  • Consumption of alcohol is not permitted
  • Deposit amount required (Reservations must be secured with a deposit equivalent to one night's, lodging via check or credit card.)
  • Check in time is 3-9pm and Check out time is 11am
  • Cancellations:
    A full refund will be made if cancellation notice is received ten days prior to scheduled arrival. Cancellations for the months of May and October and event weekends must be received 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. $15 service charge applies to all cancellations. Multiple room reservations have different policies. Please call. No shows and early departures will be charged.

    From Interstate 81: at Dublin Exit #98 turn North on Route 100 towards Pearisburg. Approximately: 2.7 miles to our driveway. You will cross over Route 11 and pass on your left the entrance to New River Community College. Two increased speed limit signs 55 mph are just before our driveway to the left with our sign and entrance. If you go past a church, fairgrounds or airport turn back. From downtown Blacksburg South Main Street and Prices Fork Road Take Prices Fork Road to Peppers Ferry (114) turn right and follow to Route 11, Turn right and follow into Dublin past light, turn right on RT 100 north, past New River Community College entrance on left, two increased speed limit signs 55 mph are just before our driveway and sign to the left. Approximately: 18 miles, 30 minutes. Our road is not yet recognized by mapping programs.

    Frank O. Drummond III has had 25 years with UPS and more recently 5 years with Buena Vista Construction (Disney; We build the Magic). He enjoys the arts, music, outdoors, water and Hands On Creation. Mother is Sarah Kent Schell and has spent years as an Interior Designer with her own store. She is very artistic, a wonderful conversationalist and a great cook. Her husband Charles (Bud) Schell is also multi talented and helps us run smoothly while cooking up some wonderful meals.
