General Information Quiet and peaceful setting overlooking Valle Crucis. 5 elegant bedrooms w/fireplace or stove, some with private porches. Private bath including whirlpool and separate shower. Full breakfast with menu selections. Close to all activities. Available for parties or meetings. Wrap yourself up in a butter-soft robe and watch the sun set on the far mountain tops. Then snuggle in front of your own fire until sleep overtakes you in a bed of fine linens and lofty bed coverings. Wake to find fresh coffee waiting in the dining room and a complete assortment of breakfast foods.

- Cancellations:
A total refund will be paid as long as you cancel 14 days prior to planned day of arrival. Less than 14 days in advance requires us to retain 20% of the total room cost. Cancellation within 24 hours of the planned arrival requires us to retain the entire deposit. Take Rt 105 South to Broadstone Rd. Turn right and proceed on Broadstone toward Valle Crucis to the Dewitt Barnett road on the right, approximately 2.2 miles. Turn right onto Dewitt Barnet Rd. Go across the wooden bridge over Watauga River and continue approximately 1 mile to the entrance to the Lodge. The entrance will be on your Left side and is marked with a street sign labeled "Lazy Bear Trail" and our business sign. - Nearest major airport: CLT 100 miles

From the airport exit, take Billy Graham parkway and follow the signs to I85 south. After getting on I85 south, go to US 321 north (exit 17) Take US 321 north to Boone.
From Boone
Take Rt 105 South to Broadstone Rd. Turn right and proceed on Broadstone toward Valle Crucis to Dewitt Barnett Road appromimately 2.2 miles on the right. Turn right onto Dewitt Barnet Rd.
