General InformationThis historic country manor was constructed in 1913. The warm yellow pine flooring, inlaid with walnut give the Inn a home like feeling. The 12-foot 1st floor ceilings and large rooms offer immediate relief from a busy, crowded world. If your intention is to just relax, then soak up the countryside on the "best porch in all of Burke County". Choose your spot on the 1200 square foot covered wrap around porch and gaze around at the Inn's five acres. What a wonderful place to settle in to after hiking at Linville Gorge (30 minutes from the Inn), boating on Lake James (10 minutes from the Inn), touring The Biltmore and Asheville (50 minutes from the Inn) or furniture shopping on the 20 miles of furniture or the Hickory Furniture Mart (25 minutes from the Inn)
