The Avalon Hotel on Catalina Island offers its guests a unique way to beat the high-cost of gasoline -- cars are strictly regulated on the island and vehicles must be left on the mainland. Avalon, Catalina’s only city, offers quaint streets where most traffic is in the form of golf carts. Most visitors choose to walk, the perfect way to take in the charming ambiance of this historic town.
The Avalon Hotel features classic Craftsman style, hand-crafted wood and tile accents and breath-taking ocean views. While guests park their cars on the mainland, The Avalon Hotel will be picking up their tab for parking and at least some of the gas: a $50 per night credit will be applied to all two-night mid-week stays when guests ask for the "Get my Gas" special when making their reservation.
