General InformationCome relax in the appealing, home away from home atmosphere at Merhaven Bed no Breakfast in charming Charleston, SC. Located downtown, in historic Harleston Village, Merhaven is a casual, lovely place to stay. A 1920s arts and crafts bungalow, our Bed No Breakfast offers two spacious rooms with 10' ceilings, lots of windows, hardwood floors, and beautiful, comfortable decor. The rooms share a pleasant bathroom, but are not connected. Our large, lush courtyard is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the soft coastal air after a delightful day touring, shopping, or playing on the beach. Tables, chairs, and a comfy chaise lounge are situated near the old pecan tree, which will shade you while you sip your favorite drink, or enjoy a midday snack. We are near the Medical University of South Carolina and just down the street from the College of Charleston. A short, ten minute walk finds you in the heart of the historic, downtown Charleston shopping district. You are within close proximity to the Battery, several city parks, and numerous breakfast cafes and gourmet restaurants, and a mere fifteen minute drive to one of our many beaches.

Take a right onto Calhoun Street. Go through 6 stop lights. Turn left 1 block after the 6th light onto Gadsden Street. There is a Bank of America on the corner of Calhoun & Gadsden. Merhaven is on your left, directly across from the Ronald McDonald House. Merhaven Bed no Breakfast at 16 Halsey Street on the NE corner of Gadsden & Halsey Streets.
