SurreyThe Surrey is on the first floor of the carriage house. An antique double brass bed is the focal point of this cozy room which is wallpapered in a traditional blue and white toile. A comfortable reading chair is complemented by fine indigo fabrics and bed linens.
Modelled after a British trader’s bedroom, the east meets the west with a tasteful combination of oriental carpets, an English down duvet and featherbed , antique Japanese jars, lamps, and prints. This room has a shower bath.

CoventryThe Coventry room is furnished with an antique iron and brass double bed. Located at the rear of the second floor of the carriage house, this quiet room has pretty floral wall coverings and a large, bright, shower bath.
The pumpkin pine floors are highlighted by a unique oriental rug. A comfortable chair and antique painted tall bureau with bevelled glass mirror make this little room a cozy getaway popular with couples.

HampsteadThe Hampstead’s two twin beds overlook the stand of lilacs and perennial gardens at the rear of the carriage house on the first floor. One of our recent guests said the warm, soothing colors of rose and ivory reminded her of her grandmother’s rose garden.
A shower bath and designer linens make the Hampstead a favorite for travellers needing separate beds. A comfortable reading chair is tucked into the corner for your comfort.

BingleyThe Bingley, located at the rear of the carriage house first floor faces the rear stand of lilacs and the meadow. The Bingley has a spacious and bright feel because of the south and west facing windows. It has a separate dressing area with a lovely wicker vanity and mirror, a large closet and Victorian toile wallpaper leading to a large, bright shower bathroom.
The unique “short” four poster queen size bed combines with lovely linens and a soft floral wallpaper to make this room a very comfortable place to enjoy your stay

MayfairThe Mayfair is on the second floor of the Victorian main house and occupies the five window “turret”. This is the brightest room in the Inn as the morning sunlight floods the room and is a wonderful place to have a morning coffee and read the paper. Originally the master bedroom of the English family in the 1860’s, it is one of our most popular rooms. It has many interesting architectural details including an arched doorway, a serpentine wall, and six double hung windows all with 19th century glass. The “four poster” queen bed is dressed with designer bed linens, a down duvet and a featherbed

CornwallOne of the largest rooms in the carriage house is the Cornwall. Located on the second floor, the Cornwall has a queen “cannonball” bed, a gas fireplace and a very large shower bathroom.
A subtle striped wall covering and oriental carpet combine with mahogany end tables and a dresser with an antique shaving mirror to set an elegant tone. The two large windows overlook the meadow and woods and a comfortable wingback chairs provides an ideal place to read or relax in front of the fire.

Tack RoomThe Tack Room started life as the carriage house storeroom for the saddles and harnesses for the farm’s carriage and work horses. It is now a first floor suite with a separate dressing/sitting area, a queen brass bed, a gas fireplace, and a whirlpool tub and shower in the bath.
The bedroom has nine windows overlooking the back garden and meadow. Oriental rugs, antique British water colors, mahogany furniture and designer linens and duvets contribute to the decidedly English country house feeling in the room.

Kensington&Chelsea SuiteThe Kensington and Chelsea Suite is entered via a vestibule off the second floor carriage house hallway creating a proper suite. Uniquely configured with a private shower bath, the Kensington and Chelsea suite offers privacy and comfort for families or friends travelling together. One bedroom has an antique Cottage-style double bed, hand painted dresser and desk and the other bedroom has two twin beds and an antique oak bureau.
Both rooms have a comfortable wingback chair for reading or relaxing. Both rooms overlook the perennial side gardens and apple trees.

Carriage House SuiteThe Carriage House Suite is a unique room in all of the Kennebunkport area. It occupies the whole third floor of the carriage house ( ~600 square feet) and takes great advantage of architectural details like exposed original barn beams, dormers, balcony, and interesting ceiling lines. An additional outside entrance may be used for privacy and convenience.
This complete suite offers luxurious comfortable surroundings for guests looking for something out of the ordinary. The king sized “cannonball” four poster bed sits in its own alcove.

Cotswolds CottageThe Cotswolds Cottage is a special place. It sits at the back of the property surrounded by woods and meadows and is very private. The two bedrooms , one with an iron queen sized bed and the other with two twin beds, are decorated with comfortable country fabrics and linens.
The living room is furnished with a very comfortable sofa, a gas cast iron stove/fireplace, a cable TV/VCR, and resembles a traditional wood panelled Maine cottage. The full kitchen allows flexible dining options, especially for families with children. One of the Cottage’s most popular features is the screened porch.
