Garlic Chantilly Grits: Breakfast-Brunch

Servings: 6

Prep time:45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 pinch garlic powder

  • 1 cup quick grits

  • 4 oz cream cheese

Step 1:

Bring water, milk, butter, salt, and garlic powder to a boil. Do not let the mixture boil over.

Step 2:

Turn down the heat to very low and add the quick grits. Cover with lid. Occasionally stir to take out lumps. Low simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 3:

Right before serving, stir in Cream Cheese and/or other cheeses. After serving dish, make sure one soaks pan in warm water in order to wash better.
