Garlic Chantilly Grits
Total preparation time: 45 minutes
Serves: 6Ingredients:
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 1 cup quick grits
- 4 oz cream cheese
Steps:
- Bring water, milk, butter, salt, and garlic powder to a boil. Do not let the mixture boil over.
- Turn down the heat to very low and add the quick grits. Cover with lid. Occasionally stir to take out lumps. Low simmer for 30 minutes.
- Right before serving, stir in Cream Cheese and/or other cheeses. After serving dish, make sure one soaks pan in warm water in order to wash better.
