dutch applecake

Total preparation time:  1 hour
Serves:  12

Ingredients:

  • 300 g flour
  • 180 g fine sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 200 g butter
  • 1000 g sour apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  1. Peel the apples and boil with a little water, some cinnamon. Until the mass is just cooking and getting soft. Add a little lemon juice and leave in the closed pot.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, butter and the egg, until you have a big ball. Devide into 2 balls. Let it cool for half an hour.
  3. Roll from 1 ball the bottum of a round form (22cm diam). The second ball is for the standing part of the form. Fill with the apple-mass and cover with sugar. The rest parts of the dough are to use for covering the tart with small stripes, crosswise over the tart.
  4. In the oven for about 45 minutes, 140 degrees C.
  5. Let it cool down for 24 hours. Bon appetit!

The gardenroom is the room where my guests can sit and relax. Books and information about the interesting places around. Television, microwave and piano.Garden
The old walls around make the garden cosy and comfortable to sit in and to enjoy the sun. You will find a lot of old climbing roses and clematis, herbs and a wild lemontree.
