Jan & Steve were perfect hosts. Our rooms were lovely (2 couples). The coffee to your room in the morning was a very nice touch. We really enjoyed their gazebo for our morning coffee. The gardens and pond were welcoming and peaceful. Janes breakfast was scrumptious and more than ample. They were very informative and helpful and we look forward to staying there again. Also a close and beautiful walk to town.

    Best stay ever at Niagara-on-the-Lake!

My husband and I frequent NOTL and stay in a different B&B each time, hoping to find the "right one". Well, this time, we did. We felt welcomed from the start and it just got better. We relaxed in the gardens, walked easily to town, and best of all, thoroughly enjoyed being treated to a great breakfast! Everything was fresh, delicious and filled us for the day. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

    Great anniversary stay

We stayed at the Schoolmaster's House for two nights for our 34th wedding anniversary last weekend (9/19 and 9/20). We have no complaints at all. Jane and Steve were wonderful hosts. It was a quick walk into town from the B&B. Both breakfasts were great. We have only been to NOTL twice. The first time we stayed at a hotel outside of town. While we don't have any complaints about our other stay, staying here was a better value. We would definitely recommend Schoolmaster's House to our friends.

    A wonderful place to stay.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Schoolmaster's House. Jane was very helpful and knowledgable about the area and she makes an amazing breakfast. After visiting the downtown hotels, we felt this is a much nicer place to stay. Lisa - St. Petersburg, FL

The experience was very satisfactory. The hostess was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Thought the price for the night was a little high.

    Innkeeper Response
We appreciate all of the opinions and reviews of our lovely guests. Our rates are very compareable or lower than those of other Historic B&B's within such close proximity to our beautiful town and significantly lower than all of the hotels. Our rates have remained the same for over five. years with no increases.
