Deer Haven is a charming 3 bedroom cottage (1,000 sq. ft.) with a unique and private touch. Handmade quilts and fluffy pillows help to set a comfortable relaxing setting, and include 2 queen beds and 1 twin, a full kitchen, a living room area, a shower and whirlpool combination bath, heat, AC, a laundry room, TV/VCR, a patio area, Saltillo tile floors, patio, and hand crafted barnwood kitchen cabinets. Pets are allowed (in carrier if left in room and on leash when outside). Sorry, no smoking and no candles. Thank you.

KUEBLER'S KASTLE
Kuebler's Kastle is a downstairs room with a sitting area, blue marble counter tops, tile floor, jailhouse and church rock, and barnwood walls. The wheelchair accessible bath has a shower with room for a chair, garb bars and massage shower. Guests enjoy our common room with a comfortable sitting area to relax, a book and video library, drinks, homemade snacks, and Texas Blue Bell Ice Cream. Although this room does not have a porch, enjoy our front patio with a shaded sitting area, our cats, night lighting, & a quiet scenic country setting. Sorry, no smoking, no candles, & no pets. Hillside Hideaway is a delightfully large upstairs room with soft carpet and handmade tile floors, a private entrance with a romantic porch & a desk for the laptop. Couples or honeymooners relax in a large wonderful blue and white marble whirlpool tub made just for 2 to help recharge, relax, and rebuild your mind, body, or marriage. Just what "Dr. Mom" ordered! A quiet room for 2 or a family friendly room for up to 4. Parents can relax and unwind while the children play with our cats or play with a game downstairs in our common room. GUILBEAU ROOM
The Guilbeau Room is a wonderful upstairs room with soft carpet, a unique slanted-cut door with some history, a wonderfully large bath (with a double sink vanity and a tub and shower), heat, AC, TV/VCR, and kitchen access (sorry, no porch). You are right above the kitchen, so you get to smell coffee and breakfast before coffee and breakfast. This room features a queen and 1 twin bed, the ability of attaching to other rooms (Katherines Attic and Hillside Hideaway). Plenty of storage with a closet and shelves in the bathroom area. Sorry, no smoking, no candles, and no pets. Thank you.

The Katherine's Attic Room is a unique attic room that is a large upstairs room with the original 1847 cedar hand-hewn timber logs and hand-cut rocks, a private whirlpool bath, heat, AC, TV/VCR, a historic hotel sink, dressing room, a private porch, and a shared kitchenette (with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator). Guests say that this "wonderful family room is like walking back in time into Little House on the Prairie". Two king beds and 1 twin can comfortably sleep 5, and the kitchenette & porch make this a perfect place for 2 or a family. Sorry, no smoking, no candles, and no pets.

The Room with a View is a small cozy upstairs room, sleeps 2 people, and has a scenic view & a large shared porch. A antique style quilt with fluffy white pillows covers the bed while soft carpet covers the floor. The room is equipped with a rocking chair. One of our 8 cats may visit you on the porch while you are having your morning coffee. Recycled barnwood lines the walls and was used to build the cabinets in the room and in the kitchenette. Enjoy free snacks. Sorry, no smoking, no candles, and no pets.

This room is one of the 5 bedrooms in the schoolhouse, so rent one or all for a group. A scenic view of the hill country with a forested area, wildlife trails, and fishing pond. The Danville School room features an original queen size Murphy bed, a double size sleeper sofa, a whirlpool private bath, a full kitchen, a 48" wide-screen TV w/VCR/DVD, with the original hard wood floor, heat, AC, a sitting area with couches, and a full kitchen (with a refrigerator, sink, coffee pot, and microwave). This welcome photo is of Angel, one of our pet deer standing on the front porch. She and many other wild deer frequently come up to the Kuebler Waldrip Haus and the Danville Schoolhouse building for food and water. You may see Angel or one of her many children that visit. Other wildlife that you may see are ducks, geese, skunks, fox, many different kinds of birds, bobcat, and cougars. Enjoy the patio area, a covered porch, or our common room. You may even find a cat or two on the front porch. Free night for the person that catches the Armadillo. (Sorry, you can't bring your own). We had many baby deer that we raised 10-15, I'm not sure. Angel was one that stayed the longest. She was around until 2006.. a total of 14 years. The photo is she sitting in the chair in the main house (see postcard). Yes, it is a "real" photo. Although she is no longer here, some of the other deer are some of her offspring.
