We decided to stay here this time in Chattanooga because we thought it would be fun to walk around downtown and to all the eating/shopping establishments...would have, if it hadn't been REALLY cold. It is a very fun, old building and nice rooms/bathrooms. Really good cookies served in the afternoons too! :) We may try the 'staying downtown to walk around" thing again one day. Would recommend to any of my friends!!

I booked a weekend when I moved my daughter in school at UT Chattanooga. The staff was excellent and very friendly, made you feel at home the moment you walk in. The antique furnishings were beautiful, the room was elegant yet cozy, home made cookies outside all hallways if you get a sweet tooth, and breakfast was fabulous. Walking distance to beautiful downtown and the university, all in all a wonderful weekend. Will stay there again!

Tucked away on a side street in downtown Chattanooga, the Stone Fort Inn is one of those serendipities travelers cherish. From the time you walk in the front door, you feel at home and yet pampered beyond belief. Each room is decorated in beautiful antiques with a different theme, and each has a two-person jacuzzi, ooh-la-la! Breakfast is superb, thanks to Chef Brian. Don't miss the afternoon wine and cheese receptions on the weekend. Walking distance to the Electric Shuttle, Stone Fort is a great choice for single business travelers as well as lovers looking for a special escape. We hope to be back and recommend it highly.
