Traveling With Your Pet Packages

Pet Lovers--Five acres allows plenty of room for you and your pet to feel at home. The dog run is about 450 square feet for them to run and play. Cat owners are invited to stay in the cabins at the Tobacco Farm Camp rather than the Inn. There are 3 resident cats but they do not use any of the guest areas and are accustomed to visiting dogs, they stay out of the way.
Pets cannot be left in any room unattended
unless they are crated.

Nature is calling! A day in the country is worth a month in the city and it is such a delight to hear the birds as they welcome each day. The big old trees and the barns on the farm give the birds a home and the bird baths, feeders and bird houses enhance their environment. Lamplight Inn is on the NC Birding Trail.
Recycling and compost are, of course, ongoing efforts to maintain and preserve our environment. There are over 2 dozen flower beds to invite the butterflies and beautify the grounds and rain barrels supply the water.
Environmentally sensitive amenities are in each room and the bed linens are changed every 3 days on any extended stay unless requested otherwise.
Instant hot water at the beverage bar and energy star appliances throughout help to save precious energy.
Preserving old buildings saves the environment in itself and this 1850's home is surrounded by 15 barns that are historic wonders with mini-museums,corn-crib screened gazebo and barn porches for your relaxation and enjoyment.
The lighting in the Inn is all in hurricane lamps and the natural glow willl enhance your full breakfast.
The Lamplight beckons thee.

Enjoy the intimate Victorian Parlor, the perfect setting for meeting friends, old or new, afternoon tea, cozing up by the fireside or curling up with a good bookFeel like royalty in the Regal Room with the exquisite headboard of silk squares that covers the entire wall. The elegant king bed is flanked by crystal lamps with etched globes and the bath has a whirlpool tub for a totally pampered feeling.
You will feel like you are floating in the clouds with the angels in the Heavenly Haven room with it's soft shades of blues and the soft down king bed. The oversized shower is lighted with glass block of blue and the old claw foot tub is accented by an old wash stand updated for your pleasure.The nostalgia of Gone With The Wind will re-kindle romance in the movie setting. The iron queen bed looks out at the images of Scarlett, Rhett and Mamie under an impressive ruby red crystall chandelier and Emerald green drapes with sea green valances and long gold fringe. The VCR and movie, GWTW, are available in this room designed for people with special needs. Wheelchair compatible.
Romantic as the movie, the GONE WITH THE WIND room has an electrified old fireplace, a 3 tier ruby crystal chandelier, the deep emerald green draperies with the fringed valences and a red satin bed skirt. The featherbed is a queen size and the full length windows make for a bright, cheery room. Satellite TV, a comfy chair and the big shower are all designed for people with special needs. Wheelchair compatible, first floor convenienc.Warm colors of the TROPIC REREAT with the overhead netting and you can kick back and enjoy the waves lapping at your feet from the full size bed. Satellite TV, a conversation or game corner and a combined tub and shower complete the picture.
The wall to wall headboard simulates the throne of kingly guests in the Regal Room. Golden hues, crystal lamps, lots of pillows, satellite TV, comfy chairs, writing desk and a hot tub make this our most popular room and it's on the 1st floor.
