The front entrance of Portobello Inn. Though the history of a house may add to its charm, it is its history as a home which makes the Inn such a wonderful place to visit. Your Innkeeper Roland invites you to enjoy the Portobello experience. As you enter the Inn and step into the grand entrance of our home, it will take you back to a quieter time...but with all the amenities for the 21st Century traveler.There are plenty of places both inside and out to relax, catnap or simply stretch out at Portobello Inn. Here in our Parlour, sit and talk with friends, old and new, read a favorite book you brought or choose one from our library. Then cozy up and sit by one of our 3 Victorian marble fireplaces.
The Vassar room is furnished with a vintage Florentine king bed. As with all our rooms, it has a private bathroom with many fine appointments and amenities including soft, plush robes. The room also has extended channel Cable TV/HBO, a seating area and writing desk, A/C, a CD radio alarm, Homedics soundspa and Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi).The Arlington Room: Affectionately dubbed the "Oriental Room." The special lacquered oriental style Henredon queen bed is designed in the "bamboo style," and the furniture, wicker, mirrors, lamps, art, drapes and other appointments also reflect oriental influences and design. The Arlington Room, as with all of our bedrooms has a private bathroom with many fine appointments and amenities, including soft plush terry robes. The bedroom has extended channel cable TV with HBO, a writing desk and comfortable chair, a CD alarm radio, A/C, Homedics soundspa & Wireless Internet Access (Wi-Fi).
