General InformationWelcome to Granny's house. Just 6 miles west of I-79, Shinnston takes you back to a slower, relaxing pace. Veg-out or bike/hike the rail-trail that is 50-feet from the door. Almost any activity can be found near-by. Create your itinerary with your interests. Full breakfast served at your time. Special diet needs accommodated. Low fat - low cholesterol is standard fare. All bread served is homemade by your host. 3 guest rooms, each with its own personality, the Gillum Room (queen bed with private bath - claw-foot tub and a shower), Harris and Rosi's (one double bed each room) share a bath with a 60-inch shower. Terry robes are in all the closets. Children are welcomed (they must bring at least one adult), however, due to allergies, pets are not. A crystal ashtray resides on the porch for our smoking guests. In-room massage can be arranged. Overnight stabling available for your horses. Off-street, cement parking for motorcycles. Ask about the camel.

An egg bake using mostly whites for low cholesterol served with English Muffin bread direct from the oven. Every breakfast is served with fresh baked muffins (different kind each day), a fruit dish, at least 2 kinds of juice (OJ and a non-citric), and fresh ground coffee - your host's custom flavored - vanilla, chocolate raspberry, cinnamon, almond, or in season, chocolate mint - or plain in regular or decaf (we have at least 12 varieties of coffee beans available). We apologize to our tea drinking guests for the lack of selection as we only have over 100 varieties to choose from.
Policies- Minimum stay required (2 night stay required weekends with Monday holiday and Labor Day weekend)
- Smoking is allowed in limited areas (Crystal ashtray on porch for guests who smoke)
- We cannot accommodate guest pets (Hosts have allergies)
- Children are welcome (Children are welcomed/ porta-crib or low-to-floor cot)
- No childcare is provided

From I-79, take Exit # 124 (Jerry Dove Drive), turn west at top of ramp, turn right onto WV Rt 707, Left at the stop sign onto WV Rt 131, then drive to the traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light, drive 2 blocks, turn left (PLEASE ignore the Google map here) onto Walnut St., we are one block in, the first house (silver gray with burgundy trim) on the left. Actually CKB, Harrison-Marion Regional Airport, the airport at Clarksburg is closest (11 miles). Turn right as exiting the parking lot and turn right onto WV Rt 131 at bottom of the hill. Follow WV Rt 131 into Shinnston, turn right at traffic light (US Rt 19), 2 blocks turn left. First house on left.
Closest MAJOR airport is Pittsburgh. From Pittsburgh International - take Parkway East toward Pittsburgh, I-79 South (joins I-70 East near Washington, PA). Take the Waynesburg/Morgantown exit for I-79 South. I-79 South all the way to Exit # 124.
