General InformationThe Somerset House is decorated with period furnishings and offers 2 rooms. Our elegant rooms feature twelve-foot ceilings, antique queen-size beds,fireplaces and private baths, one with a sauna. Relax in our parlor, furnished with antiques, or play our 1905 Steinway grand piano or a two manual French-style harpsichord.
Elegant gardens include an English boxwood parterre and antique roses. Enjoy afternoon refreshments, or try your hand at bocce or croquet on the bowling lawn.
The Somerset House is a perfect base from which to explore local antique shops, ferry on the Chesapeake Bay to visit unique Smith Island, or visit the National Park at Assateague/Chincoteague.
