General Information

Oakland Cottage, a Bed & Breakfast with a convenient in town location, close to the entrance of the Biltmore Estate (1.5mi) and the heart of Downtown Asheville (1.5mi), just off Biltmore Avenue. Ambience abounds in this 1910, Arts & Crafts style "Cottage". Reserve a Suite: each of the four Suites has two spacious & family friendly rooms, a private full bath, hairdryer, soaps & shampoos, coffee maker, cable TV, some with mini-fridge, microwave & private deck. We also have 2 great value rooms; The Rose Suite rooms may be reserved independently of each other by locking the access door between the two rooms. Each of the Rose Rooms has our standard amenities described above and a full and private bath (Rose Suite is a 2 BR 2 Bath Suite). Or, reserve The Whole Cottage(excepting the Inn Keeper's Apartment). With a capacity for up to 20 guests, the Cottage is perfect for family & friend gatherings, wedding groups & small retreat style meetings. Large common areas provide additional indoor & outdoor guest space, as well as added conveniences, including a full amenity kitchen & guest-use laundry room.

    Per Suite, 100% refundable 7 days or more in advance, minus a $25.00 booking fee. Payment due in full & non-refundable within 7 days of reservation date. The Whole Cottage, 100% refundable 60 days or more in advance of the reservation date, minus a $35.00 booking fee. Payment due in full & non-refundable 60 days prior to the reservation date.

Stay on Biltmore Avenue and in the right hand lane through Biltmore Village (entrance to Biltmore Estate will be in the left hand turn lane - DO NOT TURN LEFT). Proceed North on Biltmore Avenue for approximately 2 miles from the I-40 exit. Pass the emergency entrance to Mission Memorial Hospital on your left (St. Joseph's Hospital will be looming on your right). Take the next quick left at a light onto Victoria Road. Go about .4 miles. Turn right onto Oakland Road. Go another 200 yards. #74 Oakland Cottage is on the right. Park in the Circular white peppled drive out front.

    About 15 minutes or 13 total miles. The Asheville Airport is just off exit #9 on I-26. Get on I-26 West, heading towards Asheville. In 9 miles, follow signs to I-40 East (Statesville). Take the I-40 East exit ramp and merge onto I-40. From I-40 traveling east, follow directions above.
