General Information

Not cluttered, not too frilly -- just beautiful! The 1897 Iron Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast is a stunning, Victorian home that has been renovated to offer spacious, air-conditioned king/queen rooms each with private baths and uniquely decorated with period furnishings. There is also two charming, separate cottages for a more private experience and award-winning gardens in which to relax.
A delightful, full breakfast complete with freshly baked treats is served each morning indoors or on the courtyard patio.
The Iron Gate Inn is just around the corner from the Utah Shakespearean Festival, SUU (Southern Utah University) campus, as well as Cedar City’s historic Main Street with shopping, galleries, theatre and dining. We’re located in the center of Southern Utah’s breathtaking Color Country… just a short drive to the many national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks), hiking, fishing and mountain biking areas, and fabulous skiing at Brian Head Resort.

• Minimum stay required (Viola's Cottage requires 2-night stay in summer months only (on weekends).)
• Smoking is allowed outside only (Utah State law prohibits smoking within 25 feet of building)
• Limited accommodations for guest pets (We allow one approved dog in our cottage.)
• Limitations on children staying (Inn is not childproof. We accept well-supervised children.)
• No childcare is provided
• Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Guests may bring their own wine/beer.)
• Deposit amount required (A deposit of one night's room rate is required on multiple night stays or 50% on a one night booking.)
• Check in time is 3:00-6:00pm and Check out time is 11:00 am
• Cancellations:
  Two weeks cancellation notice prior to reserved date is required. Processing fee of $25 is charged on all cancellations. Deposit (minus processing fee) is refundable if adequate cancellation notice is given. If cancellation occurs within 14 days of arrival date, full room rate may be charged for each night reserved if re-booking is not possible. All fees and deposits may be transferred once to a future stay within one year. Shortened stays cannot be refunded after check-in.
