Grandma's Cobbler
Total preparation time: 10 minutes
Serves: 6Ingredients:
- 1 cup Self Rising Flour
- 1/2 cup White Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Flavoring
- 1/2 cup Butter
Steps:
- Whisk all ingredients (except for butter) together.
- Melt butter into a 9" x 12" glass baking dish & pour the flour/sugar combination evenly over melted butter. It will be very liquid.
- Prepare:
2 C. of fresh fruit sweetened with 1/4 cup white sugar OR
1 16 oz. pkg. frozen fruit (thawed) with 1/4 cup white sugar OR 1 16 oz. can of pie filling (Cherry, Apple, Blackberry etc.)
- Spoon fruit over the existing mixture in the baking dish leaving space between each spoonful. This will allow the crust to bubble up through the fruit.
- Bake at 350° for one hour. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
