Jan's Chunky Applesauce

Serves: 6Ingredients:
- ½ c. apple juice
- ½ c. light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cardamom
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Steps:
- In large sauce pan combine:
10 cored, peeled and coarsely chopped Granny Smith apples
½ c. apple juice
½ c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. cardamom
2 Tbsp. butter
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Cook over low heat until apple pieces are tender, stirring often.
Remove from heat, mash and chill.
Serve with roast pork or use in pancake batter.
