Equal parts wine bar, wine club, tasting dinner and social soiree, you will taste wines from our cellar, perfectly paired with artisan cheeses and other specially prepared and matched gourmet goodies, in the relaxed luxury of the Inn.

Our seasonal tasting menu generally features several wines from our regional wine cellar. That's right, there is a wine country in Rhode Island and southern New England -- a fairly impressive one at that. And yes, there are some pretty interesting wines being produced

Hosted by one of our innkeepers, the tastings are designed to be easy-going and interactive, and a fun way to discover there is more to wine and food pairing than just white goes with fish and red with meat.

We offer three Romance Packages -- with indulgent combinations of Champagne, chocolates, roses, and sensuous soaps -- delivered to your guest quarters.

The Romance Package features a bottle of Veuve Clicquot French Champagne on ice; plus a selection of artisan, handcrafted chocolates. Price $75.

The Deluxe Romance Package adds a dozen roses (price $135). And the Grand Romance Package features the Veuve Clicquot, artisan chocolates, roses, plus a sensuous bathing experience from Farmaesthetics -- the finest, all natural spa products available. The Grand Romance selection includes organic orange and rose petal soap and bath salts, a refreshing rose water mist, and lavender body lotion. An intoxicating experience handmade and put together for us by Farmaesthetics founder, spa guru Brenda Brock. Price $165.

She spent summers in Newport for most of her adult life and married Andrew J. Turner, a prominent Philadelphia cotton broker in 1886. Adele was an artist, historian, and philanthropist. She was one of the founding members of The Plastic Club of Philadelphia, America's oldest art club for women.
