General Information

Built in 1872, historic Buffalo Tavern is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NW North Carolina with mountain views on all sides! With three rooms, the Governor's, Flapper's, and Madam's, and the President's suite, it's just the place to relax and renew. All the rooms fit the era and have a queen-sized bed, private bathroom, electric fireplace, clawfoot tub, satellite TV, and wireless Internet. It's a short drive to downtown West Jefferson Arts District and area attractions including historic Todd, Glendale Springs, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Come relax on the front porch.   This is a delicious French toast variation that needs NO syrup of any kind! It's served piping hot with warm peaches. I always include a salty sidedish--bacon, or country ham, for instance. Guests love my French toast. I also serve delicious and piping hot stratas of various kinds, biscuits and sausage gravy, omlettes and fresh fruits, and, sometimes, family style! • Minimum stay required (Some weekends/holidays require a minimum two night stay. Most don't.)

• Cancellations:
  Without exception, a 14 day notice is required. Shortened stays also require a 14 day notice. If booked room is resold prior to original stay for the same nights, the cancellation charge is waived. Otherwise, the full cost for the room is charged.
