Built in 1872, historic Buffalo Tavern is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NW North Carolina with mountain views on all sides! With three rooms, the Governor's, Flapper's, and Madam's, and the President's suite, it's just the place to relax and renew. All the rooms fit the era and have a queen-sized bed, private bathroom, clawfoot tub, satellite TV, and wireless Internet. It's a short drive to downtown West Jefferson Arts District and area attractions including historic Todd, Glendale Springs, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Come relax on the front porch.     This is a delicious French toast variation that needs NO syrup of any kind! It's served piping hot with warm peaches. I always include a salty sidedish--bacon, or country ham, for instance.
