When the days grow short and the winter landscape becomes stark and still, candles in the windows of the Historic Hopkins House welcome the fortunate traveler who passes our way during the holiday season. The Oak Park Inn, dressed in traditional evergreen garlands and fragrant boughs of cedar remind us of a gentler era. Small town Christmas parades, craft fairs, sleigh rides, and specialty shopping are only a sampling of the activities of the area. When the snow fly’s we also have snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling or dog sledding for those who prefer more vigorous activities.

I stayed here for a work related trip and was treated with the utmost hospitality! They had wonderful rooms - very rustic but cozy and seemed to be kept up well. The staff was so friendly! I had an excellent sleep, although I didn't make it up for breakfast I was told my another that it was good.

A friend and I stayed at the Oak Park Inn on our way through town and it was just lovely. The room was nice with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, alarm clock and television. The outdoor space looked like it would be great to use, but it was a little chilly on our stay. Linda gave a warm greeting and suggested places for us to eat - Dodge Street Grill had a great Friday fish fry! Breakfast the next morning was also wonderful, with a continental breakfast and fresh pumpkin bread. We sat with Linda and a few other guests for some good conversation and then went on our way. I would highly recommend staying at the Oak Park Inn - great rates and great experience.
