Strawberry Pie

Serves: 6Ingredients:
- 3-4 cups Strawberries, washed and pat dry
- 3 tablespoons Corn Starch
- 1 cup Water
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- few drops Red Food Coloring
- 1/2 cup Crushed Strawberries
- 1 Baked Pie Shell
Steps:
- After washing the berries, set aside to dry on paper towel.
- Take 1/2c. of the ripest berries and smash them then place in a med. size sauce pan. Add remaining ingredients and heat over med. low heat stirring constantly till mixture is thickened and somewhat clear.
- Remove from heat and cool.
- Place whole or halfed berries in large mixing bowl. When mixture is no longer hot, pour over berries and gently mix to coat the strawberries.
- Place coated berries into baked pie shell and chill before serving. Top with whipped cream for a wonderful summer treat!
