General Information

Offering three deluxe fully equipped cabins in 50 acres of mature woods with extensive frontage along the cool artesian-fed Tchefuncte River, protected under Louisiana's Scenic Rivers Act. Each with its own access to the river and its own private site. Guests may play in the waters or build a sand castle. Discover nature trails through woodland and meadow habitats. Walk along the banks and track an otter or see a great blue heron. Enjoy the calming sites and sounds of nature. Snooze in a hammock. Read a book. Write one. Spend your whole vacation here in nature.

    We have a two night minimum stay requirement - current rates that follow are for the two nights. Cabins are: the Chalet (sleeps 2 - 6), $300-400(add $25 per person per night more than four); the Meadow Cabin (sleeps 4), $250 - $300; the Treehouse (sleeps three), $195 - $230. By the week: Chalet - $800, Meadow Cabin - $700, Treehouse - $500. Reservations confirmed upon receipt of 50% deposit, check or money order. (Credit card acceptance is pending.) Deposits returned on notice of cancellation at least 10 days prior to dates booked. Discounts available for bookings of more than one cabin.

Go two miles (passing Gene's Grocery on right) and always bearing right, leaving Hwy. 1077 onto Hwy. 1078 (Bennett Bridge Road) and turn at first right onto Donnie Road. 4. Go one half mile. For Chalet, turn right at Garden Lane to dead end. For Meadow Cabin and Treehouse, turn right on Cooper Road. Open, then close gate behind you.
