General Information

Duck Inn Lake Palestine is the perfect romantic getaway. It is a two-story brick New Orleans-style waterfront guesthouse in the piney woods of East Texas--just south of Tyler. All four rooms are comfortably furnished rooms. Three are situated on the ground floor and there is an upstairs suite. All rooms face south across the lake to capture spectacular sunrises that illuminate a section of the 134 miles of shoreline. Sitting areas on shaded lawns under tall oak trees, on the long pier, or in the covered boathouse, provide perfect places for relaxation, contemplation, and meditation. Lake Palestine is a haven for perching birds and pelicans, waterfowl and woodpeckers, cardinals and kingfishers: Birdwatching is exceptional. Fishing is excellent all year and there are boat-launching facilities, rental boats, fishing guides and lake tours available. Breakfast is served in the sunroom, on the deck, or delivered to your room for breakfast in bed.
