Innkeepers Nadine Hermann and Dave Meade, welcome you to Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast, an elegant and cozy urban inn, and a lovely oasis for discerning travelers. Located on a towering tree-lined street, in the University City District of Philadelphia, our meticulously restored Victorian, stone mansion is an architectural gem. Relax and enjoy one of our six beautifully appointed rooms and suites all with private bathrooms, WIFI, and flat screen TVs that have more than 125 audio and TV channels.     Our Berry Stuffed French Toast is baked with 5 different berries, ricotta cheese, cream, and eggs. The fluffy french toast is then topped with blueberry syrup and garnished with whole fruit. And, what about our fluffy omlettes? Just read the comments in our guest book! And, as a special treat for our guests, from time-to-time we have student chefs from Drexel University's Restaurant School and the Walnut Street Restaurant School prepare special dishes on the weekends.

Policies

  • Minimum stay required (Two night minimum on week-ends: August thru December)
  • Smoking is allowed in limited areas (Smoking allowed on porch only.)
  • We cannot accommodate guest pets
  • Accommodations are not suitable for children (Children 16 and older are warmly welcomed)
  • No childcare is provided
  • Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages.)
  • Deposit amount required (Reservations made through our on-line reservation system on our web site, by phone, or in person require a credit card. We charge 1/2 of your total reservation at the time you make your reservation.)
  • Check in time is 3:00 - 9:30 PM and Check out time is 11:00 AM
  • Cancellations:
    If you must cancel or shorten your stay, please let us know 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date and we will gladly remove you from the schedule. A $35 rebooking fee plus tax applies to all cancellations. If you fail to cancel, cancel less than 7 days prior to your reservation or do not show up, you are responsible for the entire amount including Tax.

The subway is easiest from the bus station. Take the Market Frankfort line west to the 34th Street Stop. From 34th Street you will have a 5 minute walk to Cornerstone.
