Cranberry Bog French toast

Serves: 6Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 4 tart apples, NH
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 loaf french bread, 1 inch slices
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Steps:
- Combine brown sugar, butter and 1 tsp of cinnamon into 13x9 inch baking pan. Add cranberries and peeled and sliced apples. Toss to coat well.
- Arrange bread slices on top. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, 2 tsp cinnamon in a separate bowl. Pour mixture over bread, soaking bread completely.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake covered with foil for 40 mins. in a preheated 375-degree oven. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes. Let stand 5 min. before serving.
