General Information

Alegria, the only inn with direct beach access in Mendocino Village, is on a bluff overlooking Big River Beach and an ever changing ocean cove. Unique shops, beautiful galleries, and fine dining are just steps away. The inn property adjoins 3 state parks. Another 4 parks & preserves are within a maximum 15 minutes drive away. Unlimited hiking, biking, kayaking & breathtaking views await.

Our perennial gardens, under the guidance of our gardener, Dan Salmond, is a showcase of interesting and unusual plants.

Situated in the garden, the hot tub features a relaxing view of the garden, beach, and ocean. A great place to watch the stars and the moonlight on the waves.

A full breakfast is served each morning in our ocean view dining room. You may also choose to snuggle in your room with a continental breakfast delivered. At Alegria, as at other inns and restaurants in Mendocino, we are committed to supporting sustainable agriculture. We serve organically grown and produced foods whenever possible.

Policies

  • Minimum stay required (Two nights may be required on Weekends/three or four nights on Holiday Weekends)

  • We cannot accommodate guest pets
  • Limitations on children staying (Children are welcome in some Cottages & Village Farm Retreat)
  • No childcare is provided
  • Consumption of alcohol is permitted
  • Deposit amount required (Cash, personal checks, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express cards accepted. The full amount for one night, including tax, must be received within five days of making the reservation.)
  • Check in time is 3:00-6:00PM and Check out time is 11:00AM
  • Cancellations:
    You are responsible for the full amount of your reservation unless you give us at least seven (14) days notice, or we are able to rebook your room. A $25 service fee will apply to all cancellations. A twenty-one (21) day notice is required for holidays and reservations of two or more rooms.
