General Information

For some a visit to Vermont will include a stay in a ski lodge that was established before 1950 on 800 acres of woodlands, streams, rivers, and gardens. Expanded over the years; first with the addition of a large game room, then with seven pine paneled bedrooms and then our 'Annex', a farmhouse rebuilt to house 8 large rooms. We have kept up to a unique standard of informal hospitality. Each season at the Mad River Barn is special. We also offer weddings and business retreats/conferences.

Location

  • Directions to property:
    From the East take route 89 at exit 9 above Montpelier Vt. Follow signs for Waitsfield via RT l00b and then RTl00 South through the town of Waitsfield. There is a inn with a similiar sounding name before town but that is not us. Route l7 goes west and we are 3 miles on the left. From the South and West take RT l00 north of the town of Warren and go west on RT l7 for three miles.
