Page House Pecan Pie
Total preparation time: 90 mins.
Serves: 10Ingredients:
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup real butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup coursely-chopped pecans
Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- With a wire wisk, beat eggs well. Blend in syrup, sugar, melted butter and vanilla.
- Spread chopped pecans on the bottom of the pie shell. Pour mixture on top of chopped pecans, allow mixture to completely cover the pecans.
- Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Check the doneness by "giggling" the pie pan. If it "giggles" in the middle, bake for another 10 to 15 minutes. Do not over-cook! Allow to cool, then enjoy with your favorite topping...vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, etc.
- Quadruple the ingredients and mak four at a time. Freeze the unused pies, and thaw as needed by the slice or by the whole pie. Enjoy! Kelly & Janice Canady
