The O'dysius warmly welcomes you. Our award winning small boutique hideaway, was built with the aim of it being an intricate and memorable part of our guest’s getaway, not just another motel room to sleep at. They find that this is not the type of vacation to play golf, tennis or other physically demanding activities. It is a place to unwind, relax and they walk the beach instead.Our beds have top of the line mattress and box spring sets, but we go the extra mile with down comforters, feather pillows on our triple sheeted beds. Oh, robes and slippers ad to an enjoyable evening.
Whether a golden summer sunset or an exhilarating winter storm it is nice to curl up in front of the fire with your robe and slippers and loose yourself in a good book from our library. Don't worry if the ocean lulls you asleep and you don't finish your book, you can purchase it.The O'dysius is perched on top of an ancient sand dune. Not only is the geology interesting but the geography is also. Three bodies of water can be seen from hotel: To the east is Devils Lake a great recreation lake; to the south is the "D" River. According to guineas book of records it is the shortest river in the world and to the west is the Pacific Ocean
All one and two bedroom suites have full modern kitchens and a counter with stools. We have specials that encourage our guests to stay awhile and many like the convenience of a kitchen along with a larger unit for such occasions.All of our guest rooms have whirlpool baths. Our two bedroom King Suites have two people Jacuzzi’s along with a full glass shower in the master suite bath. These spacious units also come with full kitchens.
Come set for a while in our library lounge and peruse a few volumes. Enjoy the ambiance, wainscoted walls, the artwork, and the soft piano jazz in the background. It's easy to get caught up in the moment and one sometimes forgets that there is another world out there.The master bathroom has a two person Jacuzzi, glass shower and those nice smelling little seashell soaps. And would you believe it? Nothing is left out. You can even see a sunset over the pacific from this room.
The O'dysius opened on December 31 1998. At that time, one of its main objectives was to be small enough for the personalized service of a bed and breakfast but large enough for attention to detail like a small boutique hotel. We have consistently achieved that objective.The O'dysius warmly welcomes you.
