The beauty of the river behind the inn will surprise you and soothe your mind!

The inn dates back to 1825 when it was built as a homestead for John Pierce Jr., nephew of Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States.

    Innkeepers Victor and Kathe Hofmann are originally from Switzerland. Award-winning owner and chef Victor is an active member of the American Culinary Federation New Hampshire Chapter. He received the honor of Chef of the Year in 1994. Kathe enjoys gardening and quilting. Her quilts can be seen throughout the inn.
