General Information

Swann's Nest truly provides its guests with an opportunity to experience the Bluegrass in a manner previously enjoyed by only a privileged few. Swann's Nest, the main home on a Lexington, Kentucky Thoroughbred farm called Cygnet, is tucked into the rolling countryside, just beyond the back entrance of Keeneland Racecourse and less than five minutes from the terminal at Lexington's Bluegrass Airport. Offering tranquility and grace within an easily accessible twenty-mile radius of the most prominent Central Kentucky thoroughbred farms, Swann's Nest provides all the comforts of home. You'll find the accommodations, two spacious suites and three single rooms, are distinctively appointed. All guests have access to the living room for reading and music, or the den with a fireplace. In the spring and fall, guests relax comfortably on the screened porch or in the bricked courtyard, featuring a bridged pond. Charm and warmth are here due in no small part to the atmosphere created by Rosalie Swann. Swann's Nest is in the heart of Kentucky's famed Bluegrass, 15 minutes west of downtown Lexington, just off the main route (U.S. 60) to charming Versailles. We are 10 minutes from all the shopping you could possibly want. Charming antique shops and historic areas are within thirty minutes. Shakertown, dating back to the 1800's is a short scenic distance away. Elegant and abundant dining options are within easy access. Best of all, it's blissfully quiet here - a place not so much to visit as to slip into like a pair of comfortable shoes. The charm and convenience of the Swann's Nest at Cygnet Farm will quickly convince you this is not only a place to come to, but a place to come back to as well.
