Silver Star B&B Country Inn

  • This is a partial view of the main sitting area. The fieldstone fireplace is double sided so those in the dining area get to enjoy the fire too. Our daughter Ayla will be happy to play the piano for you or you may help yourself to the keys.

This year marks our eighteenth season! We thank all our wonderful guests and always look forward to seeing our regulars again. They are like family. Please join us. We are uniquely special. Our location is country secluded, but we’re only minutes away from American Players Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesen, The House on The Rock, beautiful Governor Dodge State Park, Wisconsin River canoeing, golfing, shopping and other unique attractions in nearby Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt. Horeb and Mazomanie. The inn was specifically designed to be a B&B log lodge inn that would be comfortable and appealing for both men and women for all seasons. Finely tuned casual comfort is a good way to describe it. The inn exhibits a vast collection of original contemporary art works. Although the focus is on photography the collection also includes sculpture, paintings and mixed media works. Rooms are kept simple to showcase the art and room design and there is ample space for guest's personal belongings. The furnishings throughout the inn are attractive and very comfortable. Relaxation is our greatest amenity. It’s automatic upon arrival. There are several appealing locations designed specifically to sit back and unwind; your comfy private room and bath, the sitting lounge, the front porch, side deck, the garden area or up on the bluff. We offer beverages and snacks and you are more than welcome to bring your favorites. And of course, breakfast is always a very special experience. During the summer we are host residence to dozens of hummingbirds. They are absolutely delightful to watch throughout the day. Feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries about our inn, the area or your stay with us.

They have designed a beautiful log cabin set back in the woods. We loved sitting outside relaxing & watching the humming birds zip around. Breakfast was amazing. So pretty you didn't want to eat it.

My 1st experience in a B&B (this) was most pleasant and one in which I would return. Deeply nested off the beaten path is Silver Star log lodge. We were greeted by a family of turkeys and hovering hummingbirds.
