Only an hour and a half from Atlanta, near Rome, GA., in the heart of the historic small town of Cave Spring, guests can find the lovely Victorian Tumlin House where Southern hospitality abounds. Browse the town's many antique and specialty shops, walk to the limestone cave and drink the purest water in Georgia from its source, relax with a book on the 1400 square foot wraparound porch or the screened back porch, or swim in the pool. Rooms have VCR and DVD players so guests may choose a favorite movie from the viewing library.There is also wireless internet accessibility in the inn. This home is the perfect getaway from the day-to-day hectic pace.The Tumlin House also features a Saturday evening six-course gourmet dinner for a fixed price of $40 served at 7:00 P. M. by reservation only.

    FROM DOWNTOWN ATLANTA: Take I-75 North to exit 290 (Rome/Canton) and follow the signs to Rome. When entering Rome follow HWY 411 toward Cedartown for 6 miles. Turn right on 411/53 at the sign for Cave Spring. Go 10 miles to the one traffic light and turn right. Continue 2 blocks to the Tumlin House on the right. FROM CHATTANOOGA: Take I-75 South toward Atlanta. Go past Dalton. Get off at the Rome-Fairmont exit number 312. Take a right onto HWY 53. Follow this road toward Rome for about 25 miles. When you get into Rome, HWY 53 takes a left at the CVS drugstore and becomes Turner-McCall Blvd. Go about 1 ½ miles, staying in the right lane to the US411/US27/GA53 ramp. You will be going toward Cedartown/Gadsden. Continue about 5 miles. You will see a BP station on your left and a Kangaroo station on your right at a traffic light. Hwy. 411 turns (a Y really) to the right here. There will be a sign that says Cave Spring and one that says Gadsden. Go 10 miles. You will come to the one traffic light in Cave Spring. Turn right. Go about 2 ½ blocks. We are the big pink and yellow house on the right with a sign at the driveway, “The Tumlin House.” There is a white picket fence around the front. The Tumlin House is two houses before Hwy 100.

    As you exit the airport, follow the signs for, and take Camp Creek Parkway. When you approach I-285 (about 5-10 min.), take I-285 North. Follow I-285 to I-20, and take I-20 west toward Birmingham. The exit for I-20 west, will be from the LEFT lane. Continue west approximately 20-30 min. and take Exit #11 “Breman, Hwy 27.” Make a right and follow Hwy 27 north toward Cedartown. As you enter the city limits of Cedartown, make a left turn at the former GMC auto dealership (Canal St.) following Hwy 100 north. When you come to the first stop sign, continue straight across. At the next stop sign, Hwy 100 will make a left turn. Very shortly, Hwy 100 will make a right turn. Continue on Hwy 100 approximately 9 miles into Cave Spring. You will pass the Dollar General store on your left. At the next stop sign, turn right onto Hwy 411. The Tumlin House is the second house on the left.
