General Information

In the foothills of the Blue Ridge, apple blossoms begin their annual bud. Wildflowers along the roadsides, a burst of color, while bluebirds perch on old fence posts, weathered with age. The morning mist fades away, and a brilliant sun spreads warmth and light across the rolling hillside. This is Smithfield Farm: a memory of the way life used to be, a place where memories are still made today. Set in the gentle hills of the Shenandoah Valley, Smithfield commands a majestic view of fields and orchards, mountains and forests. From the main entrance, the house greets its guests with traditional Federal period architecture, a classic 19th century manor house constructed in brick and stone. Inside, an elegant, sweeping staircase adds beauty to the grand hallway, while to either side spacious rooms are flooded with sunlight, reflected from the warm hardwood floors.
